Well I'm about 20 hours in, got my 1st stage check next week, basically to make sure I'm safe to solo.

Autorotations have been the hardest thing for me to get under control, especially the power recovery at the end, I'm good at picking the spot though, got that down to within a few feet.

Landing was harder than I thought too, I don't mean the approach, I mean setting it down, well and picking it up but hovering was way easier than I though it would be.

I like the fact that nearly every emergency requires lowering collective, makes it all easy to remember, lol.

What's everyone else been up to??

good to hear you are moving along. I haven't been up to much. I hate the winter! I got to go up for a few hours over the past few days. I had to take up two of our helicopters just to get the blood (oil) flowing. I did a whole lot of cleaning parts yesterday. We had some maintenance to do. Also got to fly a little bit in the R44 the other day. We practiced some autos and stuff. Most of what we are doing now is to get ready for the spring and summer. Can't wait for the warm weather to come.

Not a thing happening on my end.

I've been looking for another major for school. Since flying is out for me for a good while, school isn't as much fun anymore. It's really hard to concentrate now.

Keep the updates coming...I live vicariously through y'all!

gekko tell me about it.

Except its hard for me to concentrate because i will  begin my flight training when i go home after college is over! I CANT WAIT. Literally.

Luckily here in LA i go to school at cal st northridge, and i swear our campus is the approach for van nuys airport because everyday at school i count at least 10 helicopters and 20 planes fly right over my head at 1500 feet. Its beautiful. Its the only thing that keeps me going lol!
