Hey everyone,

Just wanted to let you know what I have been up to. The company I work for got the big job of rebuilding an Ram Island. It is a bird nesting area off of Mattapoisett, Ma. We are moving over 630 yards of sand/stone about 1 mile off shore. We have three helicopters going about 8 hours a day and we have been at it for 5 days so far. There is some media coverage of it. Fox news had their chopper out today. I will post up pics/aerial video as I get them. Here is an article on line about it:

Empty weight of a R-44 is 1300lbs, 2400 full(fuel and 4 passengers)/just fuel and pilot can lift aprox. 800 lbs. Bell 47's now  all called "Scott's 47's" weigh 2000 lbs empty carries 58 gal fuel usefull load 8-900 lbs depending on the amount of fuel in tank. Wink G-5 carries 2850 loaded, G2 only good for 2400 lbs there are differences.
